CAP Money Kids

We have been running CAP Money Courses using resources from Christians Against Poverty since 2017.

CAP Money Kids is suitable for children in Years 5 and 6 and consists of two, 90 minute sessions. Our fully trained CAP Course Leader presents the sessions and they are usually joined by an additional staff member or one of our local church volunteers.

The course covers basic financial education skills and includes topics such as budgeting, pensions, debt and salaries. Each session is interactive and engaging and uses real life examples and stories. There are plenty of opportunities for group or paired work as well as for independent thought.

At the end of the course, participants will have a greater understanding of key financial language and concepts, understand the difference between ‘want’ and ‘need’ and be able to create a basic budget.

From September 2023, this activity will be charged at £90 per course.

Thank you for teaching me about money. I've been wanting to learn about saving for ages and now I know!

Learning about the importance of money is great as when we are adults, knowing about money will be crucial!
