One part of delivering the vision of The Family Trust is to act as a training and equipping resource to churches.
Who can we train?
The Family Trust offers training to volunteers and anyone involved in Christian children’s
work. We aim to enable those wishing to work with children across our area to realise their full potential in the vital work
in which they are engaged.
Where do we provide training?
We offer regular training programmes either at our bases in Maidstone and Medway, or if appropriate at the home base of a particular church who have a number of people
requesting training. We do arrange specific days throughout the year for individuals and small groups to enrol. Evening sessions
can be arranged specifically for those who are not available during the day.
What is the format of the training?
We can train groups from 4 to 20 in one session. One
church or team can take the whole session if they have a number of people, or two churches can join together to make a bespoke
day. Some participants can come from a number of churches to make one group. Training will involve a number of subject modules.
The programme content can be requested by those who enrol. On our routine training days that are advertised will endeavour
to vary the subjects covered so that we cover most popular subjects in a year.
What sort of subjects can be covered?
For example:
Ø games
Ø applications
Ø
faith development in children
Ø story
telling
Ø behaviour management
Ø
praying with children
