The highlight of the Family Trust year is the annual Chequer Tree Camp which is run over two weeks in the summer for children in school years 4 – 7. Set in the lovely surroundings of Marlborough House School near Hawkhurst, a weeks camp activities will include sports, swimming, crafts, outings, Bible teaching and worship.
The Family Trust is helped in the running of camp by volunteers, of all ages, who are committed Christians from local churches.
The children have a brilliant holiday with friends their own age and, at the same time, are given an opportunity to discover more about God and develop their own faith in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.
Many children and young people have come to faith in Jesus through the activities of The Family Trust. Some of those young people have now begun to work in their churches and at places like Chequer Tree to continue the outreach to children in this area, making sure that each new generation will have the chance to hear and be challenged by the Christian message.
