On
behalf of the trustees
Steve Knowles the Director of The Family Trust
welcomes
you to our website.
The Family Trust
is a growing work serving Primary Schools in the Maidstone and Medway areas of Kent for the last
20 years, now extending into Swale.
The vision of The
Family Trust is ‘Helping children to discover that Christianity is relevant to
their daily lives.’
The Family Trust currently provides assemblies in some 150 schools,
resourcing and enabling Kingsquad Clubs in nearly 40 of these schools, together with a variety of different lesson plans at
festival times.
In addition The
Family Trust sponsor a number of other activities across the area, for example, the very
popular Chequer Tree Camps held in the summer holidays.
Our team includes educational professionals and others with specialist skills, all with many years
practical experience working with children. They are supported by a team of Associates who share in the work. In addition
many individuals from local churches offer their time freely as partners to help run Kingsquads in their local school. All
are highly dedicated, working tirelessly to ensure every child has the opportunity of hearing the fascinating truths from
the bible.
All workers are CRB checked and follow our Child Protection Policy.

If you are in education you can be assured that delivery of all our materials is done to the highest standards
of accuracy and professionalism. They link in to the curriculum of Key Stage I&II and seek to develop positive attitudes
of social responsibility with a Christian ethos.
If you are interested in being involved in this most valuable work please read on through the following
pages. Whilst you may not have any formal qualifications in education, many of the roles require you to bring your existing
skills and enthusiasm to share with children, whether it is as a story teller to a small group, to register the children or
to cook at a camp.
